- Contact the Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) that made the report, such as:
- Send us a written request with the following information:
- Your full name, address, and phone number.
- Full account number and account type (e.g. credit card, personal loan, checking).
- Specific details of what you're disputing, including an explanation of why it's incorrect.
We'll also need copies of supporting documentation, such as:
- The relevant portion of your consumer report containing the alleged error.
- Monthly statements reflecting account activity.
- A police report or a fraud/identity theft affidavit.
