How do I open a secure email from U.S. Bank?

We (U.S. Bank) keep your information protected. If we need to communicate with you by email and it's sensitive in nature, we add an extra layer of security. To open a secured email, you’ll need to have a password to access “Registered Envelope”.

If you're a new user, follow these steps to create a password:

  1. Open the attachment in the secure email. A “Registered Envelope” will appear in a new browser. This will take you to a partner website owned by Cisco.
  2. Return to the email.
  3. Follow the instructions provided to create your profile, then select Register.
Note: You only need to register once, then you can open future emails without following these steps.
  4. Once you’ve registered, return to the secured email to open it.

Established users, follow these steps to open the secure email:

  1. Open the attachment in the secure email. A “Registered Envelope” will appear in a new browser. This will take you to a partner website owned by Cisco.
  2. Enter your password and select Open
  3. If you want to respond, select Reply to sender.

If you're having trouble registering, accessing the email, or other problems while using "Registered Envelope", contact Cisco directly. You can also visit Cisco's Secure Message Help page to view frequently asked questions, troubleshooting steps, and their contact information.
