Cash-back deals can’t be completed when using PayPal for purchases. This is because PayPal is a method of payment (like Visa or Mastercard).

The Cash-back deals program says you need to use an eligible debit or credit card for the purchase. Once the deal is activated, you can use the eligible card by:

• Swiping or inserting it at the merchant’s location.
• Providing the business with your card number, expiration date, and three-digit code on the back directly. Typically, this would be for purchases online or over the phone.
• Using your card from your phone’s mobile wallet.
