To link your outside accounts from other institutions, click on ‘Link External Account’ on your online banking dashboard. Then choose from the list of popular financial institutions, or type the name of your financial institution into the search field.

Once you've made a selection, you'll be prompted to enter your username and password for the financial institution so that we can link your account. Linking external accounts allows us to display all your linked account balances in the same view. Linking accounts are for display purposes only. Neither U.S. Bank, U.S. Bancorp Investments nor you will be able to manage, transfer assets or take action on an external account. Please review U.S. Bancorp's Privacy Policy and/or U.S. Bancorp Investment's Privacy Policy for more information.

You can link most account types such as your bank account, credit card, brokerage account, home mortgage, car loan, etc. You'll be able to view your account balance, holdings and transaction-level details for the accounts you have linked.

Account information is updated daily and whenever you request a refresh.

If you forget or change your username or password for a linked account, we won’t be able to access your information. You'll need to retrieve or reset your password with your financial institution.

If you receive an error message it is most likely the result of a mismatch of the user name and/or password provided to the financial institution.

You may also receive an error message if there is a technical issue on our side or with our external aggregation partner. If this occurs, please try again later, we will work to fix the issue as quickly as possible.

All data transmissions sent from your computer to our aggregation partner's data center are encrypted using the strongest-available, industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocols. Your browser must support 128-bit encryption. In addition, for your security, your session will end after 15 minutes of inactivity. To delete account, select the ‘manage accounts’ link on your online banking dashboard. This will open a new page called Manage External Accounts. Select the check box under 'Delete Accounts' for the account(s) you want to unlink.

Your personal information is entered through secure socket layer (SSL), which creates and maintains an encrypted connection between your browser and our data aggregator.

We support common types of multi-factor authorization (MFA) during the linking process. MFA requires more than one method of authentication to verify your identity to login. If you've set up MFA, you'll be prompted for additional authentication information during the linking process.

If you accidentally deleted an account from your dashboard, you'll need to add it again. To re-link an account, please follow the steps below:

1. Click on the ‘link icon’ at the top of the external account section.
2. Search for your financial institution
3. Use the same one that you used earlier from the search results
4. Use the same credentials you used earlier and select 'Submit'

Our account aggregation partner supports thousands of financial institutions. However, some institutions such as a small credit union may not be supported by our aggregation partner.

To manually add a financial institution so it can be included as part of your net worth and other calculations, follow the steps below. Please note that some account types are not supported at this time:

1. Scroll down and select 'Manual Accounts'
2. Provide the account type, account name and account balance information for the manual account

Our data aggregation partner aggregates data from over 15,500 data sources across dozens of countries around the world.

We may also make you aware of other products and services that could be of interest to you. This does not include access to your login credentials. All your usernames and passwords are encrypted with our aggregation service provider and remain encrypted when stored. Neither U.S. Bank, U.S. Bancorp Investments nor you will be able to manage, transfer assets or take action on a linked external account. Account aggregation provides a view of your accounts at other financial institutions all in one place. In addition to providing you with a convenient unified view of your finances, this information is helpful to your overall financial planning and keeping your financial plan up to date. Aggregated account information may also allow us to provide better help and advice and give you more personalized guidance. We may also make you aware of other products and services that could be of interest to you.

No. Shared Access users will not be able to see your external accounts. Shared Access allows you to share access to your U.S. Bank and/or U.S. Bancorp Investments accounts only with existing U.S. Bank and/or U.S. Bancorp Investments customers.

Yes, we use Yodlee, an established third-party vendor for data aggregation services. Because Yodlee is a third-party gathering the data, U.S. Bank and U.S. Bancorp Investments are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of content. Please contact your financial institution for questions on your linked external accounts.
