U.S. Bank sponsored the FireAid benefit concert held recently in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. The event was also live streamed across multiple channels and platforms. While the fundraising is still ongoing, the donation totals for the FireAid benefit concert are expected to exceed $100 million. The funds will support the L.A. region’s immediate needs and long-term recovery from the wildfires.

FireAid, which brought together more than 50 million viewers across 28 streaming platforms, featured performances from more than 30 artists. The estimated amount raised includes ticket sales for both venues, sponsorships, merchandise sales and donations from the public including generous private gifts.

In addition to its financial sponsorship, U.S. Bank also donated tickets to impacted U.S. Bank employees, small business clients and community partners.

The FireAid Grants Advisory Committee, composed of longtime LA-region philanthropic leaders, has been working to identify key areas of need for maximum impact. Led by the Annenberg Foundation, the committee has been listening daily to affected communities, assessing local resource gaps to ensure aid reaches those most in need, and researching the handling of other fire disasters, such as those in Maui, Hawaii, and Northern California. The first phase of grants is expected to be awarded this month.

“We are so grateful to be one of the sponsors of FireAid, which is raising much-needed and important resources for the recovery of our fire ravaged communities in the L.A. region,” said Rockette Ewell, U.S. Bank community affairs manager for California. “Where it makes sense for us to take immediate action to help with relief efforts, we’re doing that. Where we can support longer-term resilience and recovery, we are thoughtfully engaged and ready to support that, too. I’m proud to be part of an organization that thinks about community in this way.”
