Is there a guarantee my bill payment will be received on time?

Yes, we guarantee the payment to be correct and delivered by the date selected, if all the following apply:

  • The payment account is sufficiently funded.
  • All the payment information is entered correctly.
  • The payment is scheduled to arrive by the bill's due date.

We suggest you schedule your payment at least five business days before the bill is due. This doesn't mean you have to pay the bill ahead of time, just have it scheduled by then. If the biller needs a paper check, we’ll use that time to send it to them.

If you need a faster delivery option, check the Bill Pay calendar when you’re scheduling the payment. Not all billers can receive express payments. But if they do, there may be same-day or overnight delivery options.

If you’re using a Safe Debit checking account to schedule bill payments, please be aware of the following:

  • It can only be used to pay billers found in our system that accept electronic payments.
  • It cannot be used to pay billers that only accept paper checks.
  • Bill payments default to standard delivery.
  • Express, future-dated, and recurring payment options are not available.

Some businesses cash paper checks as soon as they get them. If the check is cashed sooner than scheduled and you’re charged fees as a result, call us at 800-987-7237. We accept relay calls.
