To help us keep your information secure, the additional authentication process can't be completely stopped. However, you can follow these steps to change how often we ask for it.
Online banking
- Select Customer service at the top of the page, then choose My profile.
- Choose Edit Login & security and scroll down to the "Security" section.
- Select the toggle switch to turn two-step verification on or off.
- On: We'll offer to send a one-time passcode to your mobile number each time you log in at usbank.com.
- Off: We won't ask for a one-time passcode when you log in.
U.S. Bank Mobile App
- Open the main menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Select Security Center.
- Scroll down and select Go to login preferences.
- Select the toggle switch to turn two-step verification on or off.
- On: We'll offer to send a one-time passcode to your mobile number each time you log in at usbank.com.
- Off: We won't ask for a one-time passcode when you log in.
On the login preferences screen within the mobile app, you can also:
- Create a visual pattern for additional verification.
- Enable or disable your biometrics.
