How do I add an authorized user to my credit card?

When you’re an account owner, adding an authorized user to it is an important decision. Here's what you should know:

  • You are solely responsible for all the transactions an authorized user makes on that account.
  • All users must be at least 13 years of age.
  • Up to seven authorized users can be on the account at the same time.
  • You'll need their first and last name, date of birth, and Social Security number to add them.
  • The card is sent to the address we have on file for you.
  • A credit report is not pulled when adding an authorized user.
  • The request needs to come from an account owner.
  • College, Secured, and Young Adult (co-signer) credit card accounts are not eligible to add authorized users.
