If you have a personal or business deposit account with us (U.S. Bank), you have options when sending an international wire transfer.

Before you send an international wire, please be aware of the following:
- There is a fee for using this service.
- Wire transfers are sent and received in U.S. dollars.
- You can send a same-day transfer between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT on any business day. This means they can’t be scheduled for a future date or on weekends and holidays.

Visit any U.S. Bank branch and let a banker know you’d like to send an international wire transfer.

Online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App - Business deposit accounts only
Customers with business deposit accounts can send international wire transfers conveniently using digital banking.
- Select Transfer & pay, choose Wires & ACH, then select Wire money.
- Choose a recipient from your list or select Send to one-time recipient. If you chose “Send to one-time recipient”:
- Select if you’re sending funds to an individual or a business.
- Tell us what country the person’s address is in.
- Provide their name and address, then select Continue.
- Provide the following details about the recipient’s bank, then select Continue.
- Bank location – Tell us what country their bank is in.
- SWIFT BIC code – Provide the international routing number for their bank. See also: What does SWIFT stand for when I'm dealing with international wire transfers? and Cracking the SWIFT code.
- Account number / IBAN – Enter the recipient’s account number.
- Tell us more about the transfer then select Continue.
- Use the drop-down menu to select the deposit account to send money from.
- Give a brief description of the purpose of the transfer.
- Optional: Add additional instructions and/or a memo.
- Enter the amount you’d like to send. A fee will be calculated based on the dollar amount entered. Review the fee amount and total. If you accept, select Continue. See also: How do I view transaction limits for my accounts?
- Review the details. Choose Edit next to any section you’d like to change.
- Select Read authorization and review the terms. If you agree, mark the check box next to “I agree to the wire transfer authorization”, and select Send transfer.
