How to see if my deposit is available?

Funds from a cash deposit are available immediately when made at a U.S. Bank branch or ATM.

Other deposits are given up to $225 available immediately. However, if the total deposits exceed $225, the remainder typically becomes available by the next business day. This is because our systems update overnight, Monday through Friday (except on federal holidays).

To see if a deposit is available using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Choose your account from the dashboard.
  2. Online banking: Review the Available balance tile.
    U.S. Bank Mobile App: Select the information icon to the right of the available balance. 
    • If the deposit is still pending, the Funds held from deposit* section will show the amount held. 
    • If the deposit is available to use, the Funds held from deposit section will not appear.
