KNOWLEDGE BASE

Is the interest from my ReliaCard® reported to the IRS?

If you’ve earned less than $10 in interest during the calendar year, it won’t be reported. If you’ve earned $10 or more, it will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

  • In the event you’ve earned more than $10 in interest, a 1099-INT form is sent. The form will state the exact amount of interest income you earned during the calendar year.
  • If you didn’t earn enough interest to report to the IRS, a 1099-INT form isn’t provided because there won’t be one available.
