How do I upload and submit a receipt in Spend Management?

There are multiple options for adding and associating a receipt with a transaction in Spend Management.  

Direct upload to match a transaction 

  1. In either the mobile or web Spend Management app, navigate to Transactions.  
  2. Select the transaction to display the Transaction details. 
  3. Click Upload. 
  4. Select a photo of the receipt from your files. You can also take a picture of the receipt using your phone’s camera in the mobile app. 

Spend Management Mobile app direct upload 

  1. Log into the Spend Management mobile app. 
  2. Click the circle button for the receipt upload icon in the bottom right corner of the My Cards page. 
  3. Take a photo of the receipt or click Library in the bottom left corner of the screen to upload an existing photo from your mobile device. 
  4. Once the image is uploaded, it will be available in Unmatched receipts.  

Spend Management Mobile app push notification 

At the time of the transaction, a push notification is sent to the card user, allowing the user to open the camera and take a new photo or upload an existing photo of the receipt. Please note that this notification can only be sent if the user opts in for push notifications. 

Email forwarding 

If a user receives a receipt via email, they can forward it to receipts@spend.usbank.com. For the receipt to match a corresponding transaction, the user must forward it from the email address associated with their Spend Management account. Our system takes the user’s email address, transaction date, merchant name, and amount from the receipt to match and append to a relevant transaction. If the receipt cannot be matched, it will be added to the unmatched receipts library. 

Note: Acceptable image file formats for receipts are jpg, png, gif, or pdf.
