If you need help filing, free resources may be available. The IRS provides basic tax preparation to those who qualify through programs like Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE). These programs were designed to help those who need assistance filing, such as those with disabilities, individuals who make less than $58,000 and those with limited English.
